Being an oily skinned girl, I have always included neem and tulsi in my skincare regime. Previously I had reviewed few Patanjali face washes here on my blog—Patanjali Activated Charcoal Face Wash, Patanjali Aloe Vera Mint Face Wash and Patanjali Rose Face Wash. I grabbed this neem and tulsi face wash as soon as my eyes laid on it. No I do not have eagle’s eyes but they become one when they read “neem and tulsi” *laughs*. Patanjali Neem & Tulsi Face Wash comes in a sturdy, white tube with a flip top lid. It is of convenient size and I love carrying it with me whilst traveling. It is yellow-ish green in color with a mild scent that is slightly artificial (though it is not bothersome at all!). 

I simply take small amount of face wash and massage it onto my face with gentle hands. It lathers nicely and feels great on skin. It washes away quickly without leaving residue behind. Though the scent is artificial but it makes me feel fresh and awake. I have oily skin and it feels smooth and thoroughly clean. It gives a healthy glow to my skin. I do not feel the immediate urge to moisturize my skin but if you have combination you might feel the need to moisturize the skin right after the wash. As I said it thoroughly cleanses the skin, it prevents pimples and acne from occurring and combats existing ones too! 

The face wash contains all good ingredients that are boon for oily skin- neem, tulsi and aloe vera. If you regularly wear makeup then you MUST first remove makeup with a makeup remover and then follow it up with this face wash.

• Does not remove makeup! I think there is no face wash that removes makeup completely.

Overall Thoughts:

I totally love this face wash! It works like a charm on my oily skin and I have not faced a single breakout since the time I am using it. It deep cleanses the skin removing all dirt and oil off of the skin. I would definitely recommend it to people with oily, acne prone skin! GREAT for the price too!

Born Pretty Store Nail Art Pen* comes in a pen form with a color representation on it. Though the color of my pen is blue but it shows purple on the pen. Yes that is the reason I applied purple nail polish on my index and small finger! I did not check it before applying the base polishes. The nib of the nail art pen is white and you need to tap it many times on a paper to make it work. The nib will go in and out just like a pump but do not worry it would not break! The nib is very STURDY! When you see the nib getting stained, you are ready to flow your creativity!

I use it just like my pen and draw the shapes or designs I desire. I drew stars and smiles on my nails. I used to draw these two designs in my notebooks in boring lectures *laughs*. You can draw the designs on bare or painted nails. I used Faces White O White Nail Polish as a base. The pigmentation is superb and you can draw the nail art without going over the same line again and again. The ink dries super fast and you are ready to finish it off with a top coat. It stays on my nails for a good 3-4 days after that it starts fading. 

The nail art pen is indeed a “creative invention” for those who loves nail art but does not have enough time to do it. If you are a beginner in nail art then you will love it for sure. I have used it many times and it still in superb condition!

It dries fast and you do not need to wait for ages. I am definitely going to pick up few more shades and would recommend it everyone especially “beginners” in nail art!

Organic Therapie Aqua Blast Soap comes sealed in a clear plastic wrapper with all the information printed at the back. As soon as the plastic is unwrapped, you are greeted with a lovely and mild scent which is very light. The soap is green in color and matches beautifully with my light green bathroom *laughs*. 

The soap creates soft, rich lather that feels extremely soft on my skin. The scent does not tend to intensify and feels really soothing and calming. It vanishes away as soon as the soap is rinsed out (As I don’t like fragranced product, it actually do not bother me!). I particularly use it on my face and I love how clean my skin looks after washing it with this soap. The soap removes all dirt, oil and grime off my skin without stripping off of moisture.  It is easily rinsed away without leaving a greasy or sticky residue behind. My skin feels smooth and thoroughly cleansed. The soap neither moisturizes my skin nor dries it out. I do feel the need to moisturize my face right after cleansing my skin with this soap (though not overly!). As per the name of the soap, it does control oil and reduce acne and pimples. It contains tea tree that is a boon for acne prone skin. It does not get soggy or melt in my soap dish that I really like. 

Though the brand says it gives instant glow but I really do not feel so. My skin looks clean and clear but I could not see any visible glow!

PROS:

• Lovely scent.

• Creates rich lather.

• Deep cleanses the skin.

• Makes skin smooth and clear.

• Reduces acne and pimples with regular usage.

• Gentle on face.

• Contains all good and natural ingredients.

• Does not leave greasy residue behind.

• Does not give glow to the skin.

Overall Thoughts:

Organic Therapie Aqua Blast Soap has become my favorite since the time I am using it. It helps in controlling oil and reduces acne and pimples with regular usage. It smells amazing and does deep cleansing. I would happily recommend it to anyone with oily and combination skin or suffering from acne or pimples!

After trying Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks (Reviewed HERE), I have started loving bright, dark and BOLD lip colors. Maybelline has come up with NEW shades in their “Color Show Lipsticks“ range and I got the two shades- Fuchsia Flare* and Red Rush*. They are priced at Rs 299 and you can buy online HERE.

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick comes in a glossy black tube with a pull off lid. The lid of the lipstick snaps shut satisfactorily and won’t create a mess in the bag. There is a sticker stuck at the base of the lipstick that mentions shade number and name. The color of the sticker and middle section of the lipstick depicts the color of the lipstick so it would be easy to identify a particular shade in case you hoard many from this range. Overall the packaging is quite lightweight and looks chic. The scent of the lipstick is very mild and hardly noticeable.

Fuchsia Flare is “bright fuchsia pink color with blue undertones”. Though it looks bright in the tube but looks pretty natural when on lips. I love applying my lipsticks with a lip brush. It gives a defined look to my lips. Red Rush is a “warm red color” that is not too bright and can be worn both day and night. It gives a nice statement to my lips. Both the shades instantly brighten up my face even when I do not wear any makeup. I truly adore both the shades and they would look flattering on all Indian skin tones. You can always mix the shades to get a shade of your choice. 

The formula of the lipsticks is very soft, smooth and creamy. They are applied easily but you have to be careful while applying these shades as they are quite bright and any smudge or mistake really shows up and makes you look awful. It can be applied using a lip brush or directly from the bullet. The lipstick glides easily across my lips without bleeding, smudging or feathering but I always make sure to apply a lip liner for a more defined look. They are very moisturizing and I don’t feel the need to apply a lip balm underneath them. But if you have extremely dry lips, make sure you exfoliate your lips well and apply a good lip balm. They do not feel heavy or greasy on my lips. My lips feel soft, smooth and moisturized. The pigmentation is superb and gives true color in just one swipe. You can always layer it up for a more dramatic effect. The lipsticks provide full coverage and are good bet for those who have heavy pigmented lips. The finish of the lipstick is smooth, even and creamy. The shades look slightly glossy when applied on lips. They do not contain shimmers or glitters. 

The staying power is pretty good. It stays put on my lips for a good 3-4 hours but fades away when I eat or drink without leaving a stain. It transfers easily on mugs, cups or glasses but then it happens with all moisturizing lipsticks. The lipstick is easily removed with a lip remover without staining or drying out the lips.

PROS:

• Lots of shades to choose from.

• Easy to identify the shade due to color representation on outer packaging.

• Moisturizing.

• Very pigmented.

• Does not dry out the lips.

• Glides easily on lips due to creamy texture.

• No weird taste or scent.

• Inexpensive.

CONS:

• Average staying power.

Overall Thoughts:

Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks are budget friendly lipsticks with great pigmentation and lots of shades to choose from. They have various colors in reds, orange, pink and brown. I love how beautiful they look on my lips and I look forward to grab few more shades from this range :).

• If you have extremely dry lips make sure to exfoliate your lips well and apply a good lip balm.

• Apply lip balm 10 minutes before lipstick or dab it to avoid sliding off of lipstick.

It has good formula and glides across my lips easily. It stays for a long time and has superb pigmentation. It is a full size product and is worth Rs 590.

It is sample sized product and comes in a small glass bottle. I have been using Argan oil for a month and I was pretty happy to try this oil from a popular US brand. If you have frizzy and dry ends like mine then you will love using it as a “leave in treatment”.

I was pretty happy that Fab Bag team included two samples of this SPF moisturizer. It is so difficult to judge a product by a small sample. It is great for people with oily skin and keeps skin matte. It is quite light and my makeup stays for longer time. It has SPF 30 that protects the skin from harmful rays of the sun and prevents it from ageing.

PROS:

• Gorgeous bag.

• You get 2 full sized products that are worth more than the price of the bag. 

• You got to try new brands each month.

• Contains international brands that you do not have access to.

• Reasonably priced.

Overall Thoughts:

Inatur Herbals Oil Control Face Pack* comes in a sturdy, light green tub with a screw top lid. There is also an inner lid that prevents the face pack from getting dry. As soon as you open the lid, you are greeted with peppermint scent. The fragrance is mild and very refreshing. The face pack is off white in color and does not contain granules.

The formula of the face pack is soft and smooth with creamy consistency. Before using any face pack, I ALWAYS make sure to wash my skin with a face wash. I then take a small amount and apply a thin layer all over my face and neck leaving the eye area. Though it is mentioned on the tub to apply a thick layer but I hate tugging my skin while washing so I apply only a thin layer. I let the face pack sit on my skin for 10-15 minutes and rinse it off with water. It gives a lovely cooling and no tingling sensation to my skin. It does not harden and gets rinsed away easily without leaving any residue behind. 

My skin feels clean, smooth and oil free. With regular usage it gives a healthy look to my skin. I had been suffering from acne and pimples and it does help in controlling acne and pimples. It control production of excess sebum due to the presnece of kaolin and prevents breakouts. It contains all good ingredients that are needed to control pimples- tea tree, kaolin, tulsi (Indian Basil) and clove oil.  It deep cleanses the skin and makes it look clean and toned. It is gentle to the skin and can be used thrice a week.

• Gives a lovely cooling sensation to my skin.

• Easy to wash off.

• Makes skin clean, smooth and oil free.

Doodle Collection Princess Diary comes securely packed in a cardboard box packaging. I was really impressed with the packaging. The diary itself was neatly wrapped with a smooth plastic wrapper to avoid any wear and tear. This is one such unique diary I own that is HEAD TURNER.

The diary looks unique and pretty to carry. The cover feels soft to the touch and has leather kind of feeling. I love how soft it feels in my hands. I particularly use diaries to write my shopping wish list and few other plans for my blog. I am using this diary to prepare lists for my wedding *smiles*. The best thing I liked about this diary is the gorgeous crown slider that makes it look girlie and elegant.

The diary looks fancy and is perfect in terms of size and thickness. It contains 200 pages and they are smooth and are of superb quality. It is hard bound and has ruled pages. The single line spacing is just right for the writing I do. My fiancé considers my writing to be a kiddo type and I always need to remind him that I am a gold medalist *laughs*. Once you reach half of your diary you will find a cute reminder to get a new diary for yourself. The pages are held very strongly and I have not faced issues of pages coming out. I keep my diary in my hand bag while shopping and look up for the things I need to buy and I got many compliments both my known and unknown people.
