Patanjali Neem & Tulsi Face Wash Review

Patanjali Neem & Tulsi Face Wash
Being an oily skinned girl, I have always included neem and tulsi in my skincare regime. Previously I had reviewed few Patanjali face washes here on my blog—Patanjali Activated Charcoal Face Wash, Patanjali Aloe Vera Mint Face Wash and Patanjali Rose Face Wash. I grabbed this neem and tulsi face wash as soon as my eyes laid on it. No I do not have eagle’s eyes but they become one when they read “neem and tulsi” *laughs*. It is priced at Rs 45 ONLY and you can buy online HERE.

Description of Patanjali Neem & Tulsi Face Wash

Patanjali Neem & Tulsi Face Wash comes in a sturdy, white tube with a flip top lid. It is of convenient size and I love carrying it with me whilst traveling. It is yellow-ish green in color with a mild scent that is slightly artificial (though it is not bothersome at all!).

I simply take small amount of face wash and massage it onto my face with gentle hands. It lathers nicely and feels great on skin. It washes away quickly without leaving residue behind. Though the scent is artificial but it makes me feel fresh and awake. I have oily skin and it feels smooth and thoroughly clean. It gives a healthy glow to my skin. I do not feel the immediate urge to moisturize my skin but if you have combination you might feel the need to moisturize the skin right after the wash. As I said it thoroughly cleanses the skin, it prevents pimples and acne from occurring and combats existing ones too!

The face wash contains all good ingredients that are boon for oily skin- neem, tulsi and aloe vera. If you regularly wear makeup then you MUST first remove makeup with a makeup remover and then follow it up with this face wash.

PROS:
• Mild and pleasant scent.
• Rich yet soft lather.
• Very light and mild on skin.
• Skin feels clean and smooth after washing.
• Gives a healthy glow to the skin.
• No breakouts or irritations.
• Inexpensive.
• Great for oily to combination skin. People with normal skin can also try as it does not dry out the skin!
• Sturdy packaging.
• Contains neem, tulsi and aloe vera.

CONS:
• Does not remove makeup! I think there is no face wash that removes makeup completely.

Overall Thoughts:
I totally love this face wash! It works like a charm on my oily skin and I have not faced a single breakout since the time I am using it. It deep cleanses the skin removing all dirt and oil off of the skin. I would definitely recommend it to people with oily, acne prone skin! GREAT for the price too!

Rating: 4.8/5

My Tips:
• Use a makeup remover to remove your makeup and then wash your face with this face wash.
• Follow it up with a good moisturizer even if you have oily skin.

Patanjali Aloe Vera Mint Face Wash Review

Patanjali Aloe Vera Mint Face Wash
Patanjali skincare products are hits and misses. I loved Patanjali Charcoal Face Wash (Review HERE) but Patanjali Rose Face Wash (Review HERE) did not suit my oily skin at all. I also bought Patanjali Aloe Vera Mint Face Wash along with few other Patanjali products. It is priced at Rs 45 and you can buy at any Patanjali store in your city.

Patanjali Aloe Vera Mint Face Wash comes in a sturdy opaque white tube with a flip top lid. The lid is quite tight and the tube can be safely carried around in a bag while traveling.

The face wash is clear with gel consistency. It has mild and pleasant scent and would not bother sensitive noses. I simply take adequate amount of face wash for my both face and neck. It lathers decently and feels soft and nice on the skin. It rinses away quickly without leaving a residue behind. My skin feels soft, smooth and clean. It does its job of cleansing well but if you are into deep cleansing then it might not be for you. It does not dry out the skin so I feel it is meant for all skin types. I have oily skin and it removes all dirt and oil off the skin. It does help in preventing pimples and acne with regular usage. I have not faced any adverse effects whilst using it.

The face wash contains aloe vera and mint that are great in keeping the skin clear and healthy.

PROS:
• Good consistency.
• Mild scent.
• Lathers nicely.
• Makes skin soft, smooth and clean.
• Removes dirt and oil off the skin.
• Does not dry out the skin.
• Suits all skin types.
• Reasonably priced.

CONS:
• Does not do deep cleansing.

Overall Thoughts:
Patanjali Aloe Vera Mint Face Wash is a good everyday face wash to keep your skin soft, smooth and clean. It does its job of cleansing well without drying out the skin. It worked nicely on my oily, acne prone skin. I would definitely recommend it you if you are looking for a nice and mild face wash.

Rating: 4.5/5

My Tips:
• If you have dry skin follow it up with a good moisturizer.
• If you are wearing makeup, make sure you remove the makeup first with a makeup remover and then follow it up with this face wash.
• If you have extremely oily skin then you might not like it as it does not do deep cleansing. You would love Patanjali Charcoal Face Wash.

Patanjali Rose Face Wash Review

Patanjali-Face-Wash-Review
Patanjali Rose Face Wash
If you read my blog regularly, you must know I told you I bought few washes from Patanjali store. Among them was Patanjali Activated Charcoal Face Wash (reviewed HERE) which I totally liked for my oily skin. I also got Patanjali Rose Face Wash that is meant for oily and normal skin. It is priced at Rs 45 and you can buy at any Patanjali store.

Patanjali Rose Face Wash comes in a sturdy, white squeezable tube with a flip top lid. The lid is quite tight and the tube can be easily carried around in a bag while traveling.

The face wash is light pink in color with an artificial scent of roses. Though it is not bothering but personally I do not like strong artificial fragrance. The texture of the face wash is soft and smooth with gel consistency. I take 50p sized amount of face wash for both face and neck. It does not lather much unlike other face washes but feels really soft and nice on the skin. I prefer face washes that lathers well so this kind of disappointed me a bit. It washes away quickly without leaving greasy or sticky residue behind. Though my skin feels soft, smooth, radiant and moisturized but it does not thoroughly cleanses my skin. Whenever I use this face wash, I do not feel it does anything and I can still feel excess sebum on my skin especially on nose. It is definitely not for oily skin but will suit perfectly to people with dry and normal skin. I have not faced any adverse effects whilst using it.

PROS:
•    Mild on skin.
•    Skin feels soft, smooth and moisturized.
•    Gives a lovely glow to the skin.
•    No skin irritations.
•    Great for dry skin.
•    Inexpensive.
•    Travel friendly packaging.

CONS:
•    Artificial rose fragrance.
•    Does not lather much.
•    Does not cleanse the skin well.
•    Not for oily skin.

Overall Thoughts:
I am not at all impressed with Patanjali Rose Face Wash. Though my skin feels soft, smooth and moisturized but the face wash does not clear excess sebum off my skin. Though it did not work for my oily skin but I would definitely recommend it to people with dry skin. I have stored it in my cabinet for winter use when my skin becomes dry :).

Rating: 3/5

My Tips:
•    If you have oily skin then you can even use it as body wash.
•    Remove makeup with a makeup remover and follow it up with this face wash.

Patanjali Activated Carbon Facial Foam Review

Patanjali-Face-Wash
Patanjali Activated Carbon Facial Foam
I have reviewed many items of Patanjali on my blog but was surprised that I did not try their face washes. Recently on my visit to Patanjali store, I bought few face washes for my oily, combination skin. Patanjali Activated Carbon Facial Foam is meant for oily and normal skin and is priced at Rs 60. You can buy online HERE.

Swatch of Patanjali Activated Carbon Facial Foam
Patanjali Activated Carbon Facial Foam comes in a sturdy black squeezable plastic tube with a flip top lid. The lid is quite tight and the tube can be easily carried around in a bag with no fear of leakage or spillage. The black packaging reminds me of men’s face wash but no worries this face wash is meant for both men and women :).

The face wash is dark black-ish grey in color with a mild and pleasant scent. It is quite pleasing and won’t bother sensitive noses. The texture of the face wash is soft and smooth with creamy consistency. I take a small amount of face wash for both face and neck and it creates a good amount of lather that feels really soft and nice on the skin. It gives a feeling of thorough cleansing. It washes away really quickly and does not leave greasy or sticky residue behind. My skin feels fresh, smooth and thoroughly cleansed without any tightness. It removes dirt, oil and non waterproof makeup effectively but fails in removing waterproof makeup. The scent fades away as soon as the face wash is rinsed away. As I have oily, combination skin, I do not feel the immediate urge to moisturize my skin.  It does help in preventing pimples and acne. I have not faced any adverse effects whilst using it.

The face wash contains activated carbon, aloe vera, neem and turmeric that are great in keeping oily, acne prone skin clean and clear.

If you are new to my blog then you might want to read my post on what products I always repurchase from Patanjali HERE.

PROS:
•    Good consistency.
•    Pleasant scent.
•    Creates rich lather.
•    Makes skin fresh, smooth and thoroughly cleansed.
•    Great for people with oily and normal skin.
•    Does not dry out the skin.
•    Prevents pimples and acne.
•    Reasonably priced.
•    Travel friendly packaging.

CONS:
•    None!

Overall Thoughts:
I totally like Patanjali Activated Carbon Facial Foam. It makes skin fresh and clean in this hot and humid weather. If you have oily, combination or acne prone skin then I would definitely recommend it to you.

Rating: 5/5

My Tips:
•    Only a small amount of face wash is needed each time to create a rich lather.
•    It does not remove waterproof makeup so make sure you remove it first using a makeup remover and then follow it up with this face wash.
•    Always moisturize your face even if you have oily skin.
