Born Pretty Store Mickey Mouse Theme Halloween Nail Art Water Decals
Happy Tricks or Treating friends!

I really could not believe there is only 1.5 months left for my wedding. October flies away really fast. I particularly do not celebrate Halloween but no matter what I can express it through my nails. Few months back, I bought this lovely sheet of Halloween theme nail art water decals from Born Pretty Store. Not only they are spooky but are way too cute! I am sure you will agree with me! They are based on Mickey Mouse pattern and no matter how old I get, I will love Mickey Mouse (and of course Minnie Mouse too!). These water decals are priced at $3.05 and are currently on discount at $0.99. You can buy online on Born Pretty Store HERE.

You can use the discount coupon code MEGW10 to get 10% discount on your order!

Born Pretty Store Halloween Nail Art Water Decals comes in a long white cardboard pack that is sealed in a plastic. They are themselves sealed with a thin plastic sheet. They are stuck onto a white flexible sheet that prevents them from getting damaged. They can be securely carried around in a bag or purse. The stickers have different Halloween based designs that look very cute and adorable. Mickey Mouse Theme makes them look more adorable and eye catching.

The nail water decals are made of very thin plastic that does not tend to stick to itself upon application. They are super easy to apply and feel extremely light on nails.

Here is the procedure on how to apply water decals on nails:
• Remove the thin plastic sheet from the decals.
• Cut the pattern of decals you love to apply using scissors and place them on a table.
• Take a bowl of water. I use normal water of room temperature.
• Gently place the first decal in water and leave it for 10-20 seconds.
• Take out the decal from water using a tweezer.
• Put the decal with the face down on the index finger. Using your thumb, lightly slide the sheet and the decal would be separated. If it is not sliding off then put it again in water for few seconds.
• Now place the decal over your nail and slide it to adjust its position. It gives you enough time to place the decals properly on your nails.
• I then gently wipe off the water using a soft towel.
• After doing all nails of one hand, apply a top coat to seal it.

Always make sure to apply top coat because once your nails get in contact with water, the decals would start sliding off. Nail art water decal is one of the easiest ways to do your manicure within few minutes. I find these decals much better than nail art stickers. The pattern looks really cute and girlie on nails. They look prettier in person than in pictures. The water decals last on my nails for a week without wearing off. They can be easily removed using a good nail polish remover. I used black (Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Blackout) and orange (Lakme Color Crush Nail Polish #7) nail polishes to give the Halloween effect!

PROS:
• Easy to apply.
• Look spooky yet cute on nails.
• Feel extremely light on my nails.

The nail art stickers set comes in a plastic pack wherein the stickers are stuck onto a thick white sheet to protect the stickers from getting spoiled or damaged. It can be easily carried around in a handbag. It contains 2 sets of designs in 1 sheet with very thin glittery lines in golden and silver.

Each sticker is made of thick plastic which lay flat on nails and feels like nail art water decals. It doesn’t tend to stick to itself upon application. I use tweezers to pull the stickers off the sheet, trim them according to my nail size and apply them onto my nails. I then put a little pressure to make sure the stickers are stuck well and won’t peel off. The stickers look very pretty and elegant on my nails. They are quite lightweight and I don’t feel like I have anything on my nails. It takes only 10 minutes to apply the stickers on all your 10 fingers. The stickers are super easy to apply and it doesn’t require you to be a nail art expert. They last for a good 4-5 days without wearing off or sliding around the nails. I always apply a top coat as per the instructions to make the effect last longer. I feel they look very pretty when you pair them with dark nail paints. I think I chose wrong shade but still it definitely looked elegant in person! They can be easily removed or peeled off using a good nail polish remover. They do not leave glue residue behind.

PROS:
•    Easy to use.
•    Good quality stickers.
•    Look very pretty on nails.
•    Last long.
•    Feel super light on nails.
•    2 set of nail art stickers in one pack.
•    Reasonably priced.
•    Born Pretty Store provides International shipping.

CONS:
•    None.

Overall Thoughts:
These “ultrathin line stickers” have definitely become my favorite. You can use them according to your creativity and they will make your nails look glam and elegant. They are super easy to use and I would highly recommend them to everyone!

Rating: 5/5

My Tips:
•    Always apply base coat to prevent your nails getting stained from dark nail polishes.
•    Before applying nail art stickers, make sure the nail polish is dry.
•    If you do not have long nails to peel stickers, use tweezers.
•    Apply top coat to make your nail art last long.

Do you love metallic line stickers? What is the best item you bought from Born Pretty Store?

Born Pretty Store Nail Art Pen Review

Born Pretty Store Nail Art Pen
I know I have not been posting nail arts regularly on my blog these days. I have started my wedding shopping *happy dance* and I did not get time to do nail arts. I am a huge nail art lover and love collecting various nail art related things especially from Born Pretty Store. So get ready to see more nail arts on MBT in the coming weeks. As soon as I saw nail art pen on their site I knew I had to get it. I have the old nail art pens that come in the form of nail polish bottles but have not come across one in pen style. It is priced at $4.99 and you can buy online HERE. You can use the coupon code MEGW10 to get 10% off on your order.

Born Pretty Store Nail Art Pen
Born Pretty Store Nail Art Pen* comes in a pen form with a color representation on it. Though the color of my pen is blue but it shows purple on the pen. Yes that is the reason I applied purple nail polish on my index and small finger! I did not check it before applying the base polishes. The nib of the nail art pen is white and you need to tap it many times on a paper to make it work. The nib will go in and out just like a pump but do not worry it would not break! The nib is very STURDY! When you see the nib getting stained, you are ready to flow your creativity!

I use it just like my pen and draw the shapes or designs I desire. I drew stars and smiles on my nails. I used to draw these two designs in my notebooks in boring lectures *laughs*. You can draw the designs on bare or painted nails. I used Faces White O White Nail Polish as a base. The pigmentation is superb and you can draw the nail art without going over the same line again and again. The ink dries super fast and you are ready to finish it off with a top coat. It stays on my nails for a good 3-4 days after that it starts fading.

The nail art pen is indeed a “creative invention” for those who loves nail art but does not have enough time to do it. If you are a beginner in nail art then you will love it for sure. I have used it many times and it still in superb condition!

PROS:
Super easy to draw designs of your choice.
A free hand nail art tool!
Dries super quick and you do not have to wait for ages.
Color choices available.
Born Pretty Store provides WORLDWIDE SHIPPING.
Good staying power.
Great pigmentation.

CONS:
None.

Overall Thoughts:
Born pretty Store Nail Art Pen is superb nail art tool when you really do not have time to do nail art but still want to decorate your nails. You need to use it just like a pen. It dries fast and you do not need to wait for ages. I am definitely going to pick up few more shades and would recommend it everyone especially “beginners” in nail art!

Rating: 5/5

My Tips:
Close the lid of the pen when you do not use it.
Apply the pen when the base polish is completely dry.
Apply the top coat to make the nail art last longer.

What is the easiest nail art tool you own? I would like to try it :).

Stay pretty!

Born Pretty Store Silver Nail Art Glitter Powder Review

Born Pretty Store Silver Nail Art Glitter Powder
If you are a regular reader of my blog, you would know I did a review on loose glitter powder and raved a lot about it. It not only makes nails look glamorous but instantly makes you feel dressed up. This time I got the silver glitter powder from Born Pretty Store. It is priced at $2.69 (currently on discount) and you can buy online HERE. You can use the coupon code MEGW10 to get 10% off on your order.

Born Pretty Store Silver Nail Art Glitter Powder

Born Pretty Store Silver Nail Art Glitter Powder
Born Pretty Store Silver Nail Art Glitter Powder* comes in a small, sturdy, clear round plastic pot with a black screw top lid. The clear packaging allows you to see and identify the color of the glitter in case you hoard many. The glitter was filled to the brim and it spilled slightly as soon as I opened it. The loose glitter comes in 4 different colors and 12 different patterns and I must say all of them are super gorgeous. I got the pattern #2 for myself and it is a beautiful shiny silver color that looks great with both light and dark nail polishes. It can also be used to decorate cell phones, cards, gifts or anything you like.

Born Pretty Store Glitter Powder is a very fine loose glitter that adheres easily and lay flat on nails. I strongly recommend you to use fine glitter instead of big chunks to avoid any messiness. Before starting your manicure, make sure you put a paper underneath so you can easily clean up the excess glitter and reuse it.

Here are the steps on how to apply loose glitter on my nails:
Apply a base coat of your choice. I like using dark nail polishes for the silver color to stand out. Here I have used Maybelline Color Show Bright Sparks in Spark of Steel. Let it dry completely!

Take a fan brush and light brush it onto the glitter powder.

Apply a clear coat of polish over the tips of the nails and lightly dust the glitter powder on the nails using a fan brush or glitter picker.

Gently brush away all excess glitter using another fan brush.

Top it up with a top coat.

Voila you are ready with your sparkly nails.

You can also dip your nails onto the powder but always make sure to dip them lightly to avoid messiness. This way I have little say very little glitter on my nails and it gets away easily with a fan brush. The fine glitter tends to adheres itself to the polish easily. It feels light and flat on the nails and I have not faced any falling of glitter all over my desk or dress. It stays put on my nails for 2-3 days and my nails looks fresh and sparkly even on 3rd day. It comes off easily with Hip Hop Nail Polish Remover Pads. This loose glitter can also be used for nail polish to make glittery nail polish.

PROS:
Easy to use.
Looks really pretty and sparkly on nails.
Easy to remove.
12 different patterns to choose from.
Reasonably priced.
Versatile.
Easily available.
Born Pretty Store provides International shipping.

CONS:
Creates a mess.

Overall Thoughts:
If you love sparkly and glamorous nails then you must try Born Pretty Store Glitter Powder. It does tend to create a mess but the results are truly awesome. I would highly recommend it to everyone who loves trying new nail arts.

Rating: 4.5/5

My Tips:
Make sure you keep a paper underneath to avoid creating your room a sparkly one :D.
Apply a top coat lightly to avoid falling of the shimmer.
Use glitter powder after you switch off the fan as it is very fine and you might become a shimmery babe :D

Have you tried glitter powder on nails?

I am the most impatient girl in my family. I just hate waiting and want my work to finish as soon as possible. Born Pretty Store Leopard Nail Foil Transfer Review
Born Pretty Store Nail Foil Transfer comes in a small and cute clear plastic jar with a white screw top lid. The jar is quite light and can be easily carried around in a bag. The nail art foil comes in the form of roll and is a very thin foil with leopard design on its face.

Application of the nail foil is easy but little time consuming than stickers and nail art water decals. Here are the step by step instructions on how to apply nail art foils:

• Cut nail foils into pieces large enough to cover the whole nail.

• Apply a base coat. Here I have used Revlon Nail Enamel in Silver Screen. Let it dry completely.

• Apply nail glue. Make sure you apply a thin layer of glue. Let it dry completely or when it is slightly gloopy or tacky. The key to remember is when the glue turns its color from white to transparent. My glue was already transparent so found it difficult to judge when to apply nail foil.

• Place the foil with face up and rub it using a cotton bud. Do not forget to press it at the edges of the nails.

• Peel off the foil gently. In this case I have not let my glue get dried properly and all I got are the patches.

• Apply a thin layer of top coat. Do not apply lots of top coat else it would shrink the foil badly.

The nail foils look really pretty and unique on my nails. They do not tend to get messy and I love how light they feel on my nails. As I am not so good in applying nail foils, I applied metallic nail paint as base polish to fill up the blanks that were left while peeling off. They lasted on my nails for a good 7-8 days without peeling, dulling or chipping. I absolutely loved how elegant and classy my nails look with these nail foils. I loved the patchy design I ended up with and I got many compliments too :). The nail foil comes off easily using a nail polish remover and does not create a mess.

PROS:
•    Easy to use.
•    Looks elegant on nails.
•    Feels extremely light on nails.
•    Lasts for a week.
•    Gives metallic finish.
•    Easy to remove.
•    Born Pretty Store provides International shipping.

CONS:
•    It shrinks when a thick layer of top coat is applied.

Overall Thoughts:
Born Pretty Store Leopard Nail Foil Transfer is the elegant way of decorating your nails. It is easy to use and all you need is patience to let glue dry gloopily. It lasts for a week on nails without chipping. It comes in lots of patterns so you can choose the design accordingly. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Rating: 4.8/5
My Tips:
•    Apply only a thin layer of glue and apply the foil when it is tacky.
•    Apply a thin layer of top coat to avoid shrinkage of foil.

Do you love nail foils?
