If you read my blog regularly, you must know how much I adore Infinity jewelries. They are made from high quality crystals and look really unique and wonderful. I have reviewed lots of jewelries from this brand and you can just search in the search bar by typing Infinity and have a look at those beauties :). Few months back, I bought these gorgeous light blue necklace and drop earrings from Infinity to match my blue outfits. The necklace is priced at Rs 1950 and drop earrings at Rs 1990. Infinity Sea Breeze Necklace & Drop Earrings are not available as set and you have to buy them individually. They come securely packed in a white cardboard box packaging. The necklace is made of silver plated metal alloy with high quality encrusted crystals. The pendant has tear drop design that makes it look pretty and unique. It has beautiful light blue crystal with white crystals encrusted around it. It complements well with all outfits especially ethnic dresses and blue dresses. It can dress up any boring outfit and is definitely eye catching and elegant. I get compliments from people each time I wear it. The chain is quite sturdy and looks plain and simple. It is of good quality and does not cause any allergy or reaction. It is 9.5 inches long and fits well on my neck. The lobster clasp is quite strong and is easy to open and close. The chain can be adjusted through various loops available. The pendant feels quite light and does not tend to spin around or gets tangled. It is of good size and does not look tacky. I think it would look great on everyone.

The earrings have the same design as that of pendant. They are drop earrings and the drop length is approximately 1”. The locks are lever back closure and are super easy to put in and take out. They do not tend to get loose. The earrings are comfortable to wear and look really pretty and adorable on my earlobes. If you love wearing lightweight yet drop earrings then these are for you. They look good on all outfits and are perfect for wearing at office or when you wear ethnic outfits. They are of good quality and do not look cheap or tacky. They look quite noticeable on my ears and I got lots of complements from my friends when I wear them with pendant necklace. They are versatile and can be worn in any season but I love wearing it with traditional outfits or blue dresses. I have been wearing it almost in every party and they are still in new condition and I have not seen any signs of wear and tear.

Overall Thoughts:

 Though I am a huge makeup, fashion and nail art junkie but I really cannot sleep without reading a novel and talking to my love. So far I have read many novels but never reviewed them on my blog. Recently I read a very interesting and gripping fiction book American Midnight* written by Brandon Barr and Mike Lynch. I really take months in reading a novel but I cannot believe I finished this book in just two days. American Midnight is a political thriller story that revolves around a beautiful, brave teenage girl Tania Peters. She had loving, supportive and happy family but her mother’s sudden death in a planned plane crash totally changed her life. She stopped believing in God and threw herself in the arms of her boyfriend hoping her life would again be normal. Her feelings were crushed when her boyfriend betrayed her and started dating the most popular girl of high school.

Tania joined Unity Party just to serve people just like her mother and to divert her mind. She saw all good things that Unity Party promises to deliver to people once their party wins the election but there is dark side of the party which Tania was unaware of. Daniel Peters, father of Tania, was threatened and jailed him for false charges when he refused to compromise his religious belief. After that Tania realized the Unity party is more into controlling people through power and law than serving them. The party shuts everyone’s mouth who speaks against their laws. Tania was completely shocked when she read the files in her senior’s office on how the party had planned to use her against her dad. Soon Tania gained her lost faith in God but it was too late and she was arrested on false charges of having connections with Christian terrorists.

I totally loved the character Joanna, best friend of Tania. Not only she is frank and blunt but makes Tania realizes her lost faith in God. Though she died in bombings but helped rediscover the faith in Tania and her confusion between past and future.

American Midnight is one such book that has suspense in each chapter. There was not a single chapter that was boring or made me want to skip it. The whole book is unpredictable and I really don’t feel like putting it down. There were a lot of characters in this book but they were all developed strongly that I do not had to turn the pages to keep up with who was who. I was hooked straight away from the beginning especially after the betrayal from his boyfriend. The things really heat up when her father was arrested and sent to some unknown place. This book is never predictable and keeps me guessing until the final page. It is definitely a page turner when Tania’s fate is revealed in snippets. It shows the ugly and scary side of the politics. I totally adored Brandon and Mike’s work and I look forward to the continuation of the plot line. Though there were few grammatical mistakes but then the story was so gripping I really did not mind it :).

PROS:
•    Definitely a page turner book.
•    If you love thriller and mysterious books then you will love it for sure.
•    There is a twist in each chapter.

American Midnight is definitely an interesting read and one of my favorites’ books in a long time. It is a book that I really do not want to put down and there is a twist and suspense in almost every chapter. I totally loved the main character Tania Peters for her smartness, bravery and love for her family and God. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to everyone!

The nail art stickers set comes in a large plastic pack wherein the stickers are stuck onto a thick white to protect the stickers from getting spoiled or damaged. It can be folded lightly and can be easily carried around in a handbag. It contains 11 sets of designs including colorful hearts, love captions, teddy bears, bows, mugs and all other lovey dovey designs.

Each sticker is made of colorful thick plastic which lay flat on nails and feels like nail art water decals. It doesn’t tend to stick to itself upon application. I use tweezers to pull the stickers off the sheet and apply them onto my nails. I then put a little pressure to make sure the stickers are stuck well and won’t peel off. The stickers look very pretty and adorable on my nails. They are quite lightweight and I don’t feel like I have anything on my nails. It takes only 10 minutes to apply the stickers on all your 10 fingers. The stickers are super easy to apply and it doesn’t require you to be a nail art expert. They last for a good 6-7 days without wearing off or sliding around the nails. I always apply a top coat as per the instructions to make the effect last longer. I used gorgeous hearts and cute teddy for a romantic manicure. And guess what? I got lots of compliments from my friends, my boy and my parlor aunty *happy dance*. They can be easily removed or peeled off using a good nail polish remover. They do not leave glue residue behind.

Nivea Lemon & Oil Shower Gel comes in a sturdy, clear plastic bottle with a dark blue flip top lid. All the information is printed at the back of the bottle. The lid is quite tight and the bottle can be easily carried around in a bag while traveling. The color of the shower gel is light green in color which looks very refreshing. It contains small yellow beads that are actually oil pearls that are known to moisturize the skin.

The texture of the shower gel is soft and smooth with gel consistency. It is neither very thick nor very runny. It has a lovely glossy look to it. I simply squeeze a small amount of shower gel on my loofah and then gently rub it over my wet skin. You can even take it on your palms and rub it onto your skin if you are in hurry. It creates a soft, rich lather and feels extremely soft and nice on my skin. The lemongrass scent is amazing and very refreshing. It does not tend to intensify and remains subtle and fresh. It feels smooth and gentle on the skin. The shower gel gets rinsed off really easily without leaving a greasy or sticky residue behind. My skin feels soft, smooth, clean, fresh and moisturized.  The scent disappears as soon as the shower gel is rinsed off. I have normal body skin and I do not feel the need to moisturize my skin immediately though I have the habit of doing it anyways. If you have very dry skin then you must follow it up with a good body lotion. My bathroom gets filled with the refreshing lemongrass aroma but the scent does not linger with me which does not bother me as I am not a huge fan of fragranced products. The shower gel will last really long as only a small amount is needed each time.

PROS:
•    The color is very refreshing.
•    If you love citrus scent then it is for you.
•    The oil pearls moisturize the skin well.
•    Does not dry out my skin.
•    Reasonably priced.
•    Lasts really long.
•    Makes skin soft, smooth, clean and refreshed.

CONS:
•    Dry skinned people would need to follow it up with moisturizer.

Overall Thoughts:

Nivea Lemon & Oil Shower Gel is a refreshing shower gel for summers. It lathers well and makes skin soft, smooth, clean and refreshed. If you love lemongrass scent then you will surely love it. I would happily recommend it to everyone!

•    Shower gels are usually not that moisturizing so make sure you follow it up with good body lotion or body butter after shower if you have dry skin.

I love wearing simple and comfortable shoes. I realized I have not featured any shoes or footwear on my blog. Moheda is Swedish shoes brand that provides high quality shoes and clogs for both men and women. I chose the pattern Linnea which has floral print over it and looks very pretty and feminine. Moheda wooden shoes* are made from real wood while the upper white section is made from leather. I totally loved the floral print on the clog as it looks very delicate and feminine. The underneath of the clog is made from a textured rubber material which has slight embossed lines that allows grip on smooth surface.

The clog has 5cm heel and you can walk comfortably with absolutely no hassle. It comes in different sizes from 24 to 41 so there is a size for everyone. The upper area of the clog is quite smooth and comfortable and does not leave mark on skin while walking. The floral print on the shoes makes it all the more beautiful. I love wearing them with my short floral dresses or white top and black jeans. They indeed stand out and are definitely noticeable. They do have the best grip and do not tend to slip on smooth surface.

The clogs are comfortable to wear but since they do not have elastic to hold feet, my feet do not feel fully supported. You do need a bit of practice to get hold of them. I particularly wear them when I do not have to walk a lot. I have been wearing them since 20 days and I have not seen any signs of wear and tear or any sort of discomfort. As these are wooden shoes, I make sure not to wear them when it is pouring outside. The design of the clogs will definitely appeal to everyone. It definitely is unique and feminine.

PROS:
•    Pretty and feminine design.
•    Comfortable and easy to wear.
•    Last long.
•    Though there is no cushion in the inner sole but they still feel comfortable.
•    Look very pretty with short dresses and black skinny jeans.

If you read my blog regularly, you may have noticed that I do not do sample reviews unless and until it is really an awesome product and I have loads of sachets or tubes to try it. Recently I came across a brand Rene Furterer that offered me samples of Rene Furterer Astera Shampoo* for review. Though I was not interested in featuring samples here on blog but soothing shampoo, sensitive and irritated scalp instantly made me curious. I got 2 tubes 15ml each and each tube gives 4 washes. It is priced at Rs 1320 for 200ml which is quite expensive.

Rene Furterer Astera Shampoo comes in a mint green squeezable plastic tube with a dark green flip top lid. As I got the sample sizes, it is really easy to carry them in bag while traveling with no fear of leakage or spillage.

The shampoo is clear with a refreshing peppermint and eucalyptus oil scent. The scent is slightly strong but won’t bother sensitive noses. The texture of the shampoo is soft and smooth with gel consistency. It is neither very thick nor very thin. You are greeted with the refreshing peppermint scent as soon as it is dispensed out. I always make sure to dilute my shampoo to reduce the damage the chemicals may cause to the hair. The shampoo is easily applied and gets spread to my medium length hair. It gives a cooling sensation which I totally loved in this hot weather. Whenever I oil my hair, I require more shampoo than required though it happens with all the shampoos in my case. It creates good lather and the scent does not tend to intensify. It is easily rinsed away. After using the shampoo, my hair feels soft, thoroughly cleansed (I apply oil before washing my hair!) and manageable with a healthy shine. I have soft, silky hair with dry and frizzy ends. My ends feel soft and I could not find any or less knots that I used to face when I use harsh shampoos. It controls the frizz but I always make sure to apply a good conditioner to make my hair soft and moisturized. It does not leave greasy residue behind or any build up. It is super hot and humid weather here and sometimes I do get itchy and irritated scalp. This shampoo reduces irritation to a great extent and my scalp does not tend to get oily for 2 days. As I apply oil before washing my hair, I need two washes to get clean and oil free hair. The scent does not linger and fades away as soon as the shampoo is rinsed off. I have not experienced any adverse effects whilst using it. 

The shampoo contains peppermint and eucalyptus oil that provides moisture and shine to hair.

PROS:
•    Refreshing scent.
•    Lovely packaging.
•    Treats sensitive and irritated scalp.
•    Does not leave residue behind.
•    Hair feels light and clean.
•    Imparts a lovely shine to hair.
•    Gives a cooling sensation.
•    Does not make scalp oily for 2 days.

CONS:
•    Pricey.
•    Not everyone would be okay with the scent but it fades away as soon as it is rinsed off.

Overall Thoughts:

Rene Furterer Astera Shampoo is a great shampoo for people with dry, itchy and sensitive scalp. It gives a nice cooling sensation and cleanses hair well. It is definitely a soothing shampoo and a lovely way to pamper your hair in this humid summer/rainy season. I would happily recommend it to everyone!

Among them was Patanjali Activated Charcoal Face Wash (reviewed HERE) which I totally liked for my oily skin. I also got Patanjali Rose Face Wash that is meant for oily and normal skin. It is priced at Rs 45 and you can buy at any Patanjali store.

Patanjali Rose Face Wash comes in a sturdy, white squeezable tube with a flip top lid. The lid is quite tight and the tube can be easily carried around in a bag while traveling.

The face wash is light pink in color with an artificial scent of roses. Though it is not bothering but personally I do not like strong artificial fragrance. The texture of the face wash is soft and smooth with gel consistency. I take 50p sized amount of face wash for both face and neck. It does not lather much unlike other face washes but feels really soft and nice on the skin. I prefer face washes that lathers well so this kind of disappointed me a bit. It washes away quickly without leaving greasy or sticky residue behind. Though my skin feels soft, smooth, radiant and moisturized but it does not thoroughly cleanses my skin. Whenever I use this face wash, I do not feel it does anything and I can still feel excess sebum on my skin especially on nose. It is definitely not for oily skin but will suit perfectly to people with dry and normal skin. I have not faced any adverse effects whilst using it.

•    Mild on skin.
•    Skin feels soft, smooth and moisturized.
•    Gives a lovely glow to the skin.
•    No skin irritations.
•    Great for dry skin.
•    Inexpensive.
•    Travel friendly packaging.

CONS:
•    Artificial rose fragrance.

•    Does not cleanse the skin well.
•    Not for oily skin.

Overall Thoughts:

I am not at all impressed with Patanjali Rose Face Wash. Though my skin feels soft, smooth and moisturized but the face wash does not clear excess sebum off my skin. Though it did not work for my oily skin but I would definitely recommend it to people with dry skin. I have stored it in my cabinet for winter use when my skin becomes dry :).

•    Remove makeup with a makeup remover and follow it up with this face wash.

The weather here is super muggy. I have oily, combination and acne prone skin and I hate wearing heavy makeup on my face. Recently I came across an amazing mineral makeup brand Natural Cosmetics Inc. that is great for anyone with acne, skin damage, rosacea and redness. I have been using it for more than 3 weeks and I must say it is the best mineral makeup I have tried till date. The set is priced at £12.99 and you can buy online HERE.

NCinc. Naked Skin Mineral Makeup Set* comes in two black netted case. In one case, you will find 10 ml jars of miracle veil and mineral foundation each while in the other, there are 5ml jars of corrector, concealer, blusher and bronzer each. The brand was kind enough to send me 5ml jars of 2 other shades of foundation to find the right shade. They had also sent a kabuki brush but unfortunately it was stolen at the customs or in the mail. There is also a leaflet that explains how to use the makeup effectively. All the jars come with a sifter that allows you to take right amount of product on the lid. The packaging is travel friendly and can be easily carried around in a bag while traveling. All the products in the kit are non-comedogenic and have silky cream like texture that feel amazing on the skin.

The first step is to moisturize your face well. Always remember no makeup will look good on dry and dehydrated skin. The next step is to apply miracle veil. It works like a primer and looks amazingly natural on skin. I simply tip a tiny amount (when I say tiny I really mean it!) of miracle veil onto the lid and swirl the brush over it, tap it off on the lid and buff into the skin. I use Born Pretty Store Flat Top Brush (reviewed here) for applying miracle veil and foundation. Make sure there is no powder visible on the brush to get flawless coverage. Though it is white in color, it looks pretty natural on my skin. It tones down shininess and gives a beautiful finish. It can also be used as finishing powder.

The next step is to apply foundation. It comes in a powder form and has silky smooth formula. There are various shades to choose from and Beige matches my fair skin tone perfectly. You need to use it just like miracle veil. Less is more with mineral foundation so try to use as little as possible because you can always build up the coverage by layering it. The foundation and miracle veil feel absolutely light and I feel as if I have nothing on. The foundation gives sheer to medium coverage and I love how even and natural my skin looks after using it. It does not look cakey or streaky unlike other foundation.

The next step is to apply corrector and concealer. The corrector is green in color and I apply it to combat any redness. It is truly amazing and instantly hides any redness on the skin. I have been suffering from acne lately and I loved how well it hides my acne with the help of concealer. I use Eddie Funkhouser Blending brush to apply corrector and concealer. Concealer hides my slightly dark circles well but if you have heavy dark circles then you might need a full coverage concealer. In this case too, less is more and you can always build up the coverage by applying layers.

The final step is to apply bronzer and blusher. If you have very oily skin, make sure to apply miracle veil as finishing powder to get matte yet healthy skin. I then apply little bronzer on my cheeks using a blusher brush and then finish it off with a very small amount of blush to give natural flush of color to the cheeks. To get natural look, swirl a small amount of bronzer on brush and then again swirl it onto the blush and apply the mixture on the skin. It gives such a natural and glowy look to my face.

The mineral makeup stays on my oily combination skin for a good 7-8 hours though I start getting oily nose (not forehead and chin!) after 5-6 hours. I use my oil blotting sheets (reviewed HERE) to combat shine on my nose. The weather is hot and humid and I get shiny nose with almost all my makeup so I could not actually complain it.

•    All the products are soft and smooth against the skin.
•    Miracle Veil acts as a great primer and finishing powder.
•    Foundation has light to medium coverage.
•    Controls oil and makes skin look natural and radiant.

Overall Thoughts:

NCinc Mineral Makeup Set is the best mineral makeup I have tried. It not only feels light on the skin but gives a lovely natural glow to the skin. It does not aggravate my acne as it is non comedogenic. It will last long with me so it is definitely worth its price. I would highly recommend it to everyone who loves makeup that give beautiful and natural looking skin.
