Born Pretty Store Professional Flat Makeup Brush
Though I own lots of makeup brushes but each time I saw a new one I really want to grab it. Born pretty Store is the best website if you love cute yet good quality items. I had already reviewed orange kabuki brush (reviewed HERE) and leopard print powder brush (reviewed HERE) from Born Pretty Store. Both the brushes are my favorite and have a special place in my vanity. Today I am going to review Born Pretty Store Professional Flat Makeup Brush* that has flat top. It is priced at $4.99 which is reasonably priced and you can buy online HERE. Use the coupon code MEGW10 to get 10% off discount!

Born Pretty Store Professional Flat Makeup Brush
Born Pretty Store Flat Top Makeup Brush comes packed in a plastic case that prevents brush from getting damaged or out of shape. It is a versatile product and can be used to apply powder and liquid makeup products like mineral makeup, powder blush, highlighter and foundation. The black matte handle and silver casing of the brush measure 14cms. The bristles themselves measure 3.9 cms from base to top. They are very soft to the touch and remind me of expensive makeup brushes available in the market. The brush has a flat top that allows easy blending and buffing of the makeup into the skin.

The bristles of the brush are made from goat hair and densely packed. They are black in color with white tips at the top. Using the brush is pretty simple. I particularly use it to apply mineral foundation, compact powder, powder blushes and highlighter. To apply mineral foundation, I simply swirl the brush onto the foundation, tap off the excess and buff the brush into the skin for a light coverage. To achieve full coverage, I swirl the brush on the product and lightly tap the foundation on the skin. The brush feels very soft and smooth on my skin. The foundation sets in easily using this method and does not look powdery or cakey. The results are really amazing. My skin looks flawless, even and natural whenever I apply foundation with this brush. The coverage of the foundation is better when I use this brush than other brushes. It can also be used to apply powder and cream blushes, bronzers, setting powder, highlighters etc. I tried using it with liquid foundations but it does not seem to work effectively and I had to use My Real Techniques Stippling Brush (reviewed HERE) to blend the foundation well for a natural look.

Cleaning the brush is super easy. I simply swirl it in a small amount of baby shampoo and wash it in a bowl containing water. It takes a day (few hours in summers!) to dry out completely. There is no shedding of the bristles and the brush dries to soft, fluffy and ready to use again.

PROS:
•    Soft and dense bristles.
•    Perfect for applying powder products.
•    Skin looks flawless when mineral foundation is applied with this brush.
•    Gives smooth and air brushed finish.
•    No shedding of the bristles.
•    Easy to clean.
•    Reasonably priced.
•    Born Pretty Store provides International shipping.

CONS:
•    Does not work well with liquid foundations.

Overall Thoughts:
If you love mineral makeup then Born Pretty Store Professional Flat Makeup Brush is a great buy. The bristles are made from goat hair and are very soft to the skin. The brush applies mineral foundation very well giving full coverage and airbrushed finish. I would definitely recommend it to everyone! It is great for the price too :) Did I say I am eyeing other brushes too? :P

Rating: 4.8/5

My Tips:
•    For a full coverage, swirl the brush onto the mineral foundation and tap it lightly onto the skin.
•    Wash your brushes at least once in two weeks.
•    Dry your brushes upside down. I simply roll a small napkin and lay the brushes tilted.
•    Never blow dry your makeup brushes.

Which brush do you use for applying powder makeup products? Have you tried makeup brush from Born Pretty Store? If yes then which one?

Stay pretty!
Megha
