Born Pretty Store Silver Nail Art Glitter Powder* comes in a small, sturdy, clear round plastic pot with a black screw top lid. The clear packaging allows you to see and identify the color of the glitter in case you hoard many. The glitter was filled to the brim and it spilled slightly as soon as I opened it. The loose glitter comes in 4 different colors and 12 different patterns and I must say all of them are super gorgeous. I got the pattern #2 for myself and it is a beautiful shiny silver color that looks great with both light and dark nail polishes. It can also be used to decorate cell phones, cards, gifts or anything you like. 

Born Pretty Store Glitter Powder is a very fine loose glitter that adheres easily and lay flat on nails. I strongly recommend you to use fine glitter instead of big chunks to avoid any messiness. Before starting your manicure, make sure you put a paper underneath so you can easily clean up the excess glitter and reuse it. 

Here are the steps on how to apply loose glitter on my nails:

• Apply a base coat of your choice. I like using dark nail polishes for the silver color to stand out. Here I have used Maybelline Color Show Bright Sparks in Spark of Steel. Let it dry completely!

• Take a fan brush and light brush it onto the glitter powder.

• Apply a clear coat of polish over the tips of the nails and lightly dust the glitter powder on the nails using a fan brush or glitter picker.

• Gently brush away all excess glitter using another fan brush. 

• Top it up with a top coat.

• Voila you are ready with your sparkly nails.

You can also dip your nails onto the powder but always make sure to dip them lightly to avoid messiness. This way I have little say very little glitter on my nails and it gets away easily with a fan brush. The fine glitter tends to adheres itself to the polish easily. It feels light and flat on the nails and I have not faced any falling of glitter all over my desk or dress. It stays put on my nails for 2-3 days and my nails looks fresh and sparkly even on 3rd day. It comes off easily with Hip Hop Nail Polish Remover Pads. This loose glitter can also be used for nail polish to make glittery nail polish.

If you love sparkly and glamorous nails then you must try Born Pretty Store Glitter Powder. It does tend to create a mess but the results are truly awesome. I would highly recommend it to everyone who loves trying new nail arts.

• Make sure you keep a paper underneath to avoid creating your room a sparkly one :D.

• Apply a top coat lightly to avoid falling of the shimmer.

• Use glitter powder after you switch off the fan as it is very fine and you might become a shimmery babe :D

As soon as you open the box, you will see a heart shaped mirror at the base that makes it look elegant and royal. I was really disappointed when I find the mirror was broken. They should stuff it with something to avoid any breakage. You will be surprised to find that it is available at a discounted price of Rs 330 only. It comes in two colors- gold and silver and I chose the golden one. It will definitely be a perfect gift for a girl.

I am totally enjoying the monsoon season. The best way to enjoy this season is to eat and read *winks*. Though I am not fond of historical fiction books but Becoming Lisette* is just exceptional. It is one of the best historical novels I have read in a long time. It is priced at $12.99 and you can buy online HERE. I got the eBook version on Kindle so I do not have pictures of the book. 

Becoming Lisette is a historical fiction novel that revolves around a pretty girl Lisette who has a passion for oil painting. After completing her torturous schooling from Convent, she came back to her home only to find that her parents were more concerned about her marriage than her dream to become a famous painter. Right from childhood she has a huge passion for painting and had learnt a lot from her father who was a famous guild painter. After her father’s sudden death, Lisette wanted to support her mother and brother financially by selling off her paintings but before she could do that, her mother unexpectedly married a wealthy merchant jeweler Le Sevre. Lisette’s life changed when her step father started controlling her life. 

The story is described in 18th century Paris and the restrictions that were made on women. It is very engaging and the art has been beautifully described by the author. It moves quickly and the story was not at all predictable. I totally loved the character of Lisette and Amante, a young dashing army officer, who helped Lisette in achieving her dream to become a famous painter in male dominated society. It is definitely a page turner book and I looked forward to reading the sequel.

PROS:

• If you love historical yet interesting books then it is for you.

• There was suspense in each chapter.

• Available as both paperback and eBook on Kindle.

• Reasonably priced.

• Art was described beautifully.

CONS:

• None.

Overall Thoughts:

Becoming Lisette is one of the most interesting and engaging historical fiction books I have read. It depicts the story of a girl who dreams to become a successful painter in a male dominated society and how cleverly and skillfully she achieved her goals. A worth reading book!

Patanjali skincare products are hits and misses. I loved Patanjali Charcoal Face Wash (Review HERE) but Patanjali Rose Face Wash (Review HERE) did not suit my oily skin at all. I also bought Patanjali Aloe Vera Mint Face Wash along with few other Patanjali products. It is priced at Rs 45 and you can buy at any Patanjali store in your city.

Patanjali Aloe Vera Mint Face Wash comes in a sturdy opaque white tube with a flip top lid. The lid is quite tight and the tube can be safely carried around in a bag while traveling. 

The face wash is clear with gel consistency. It has mild and pleasant scent and would not bother sensitive noses. I simply take adequate amount of face wash for my both face and neck. It lathers decently and feels soft and nice on the skin. It rinses away quickly without leaving a residue behind. My skin feels soft, smooth and clean. It does its job of cleansing well but if you are into deep cleansing then it might not be for you. It does not dry out the skin so I feel it is meant for all skin types. I have oily skin and it removes all dirt and oil off the skin. It does help in preventing pimples and acne with regular usage. I have not faced any adverse effects whilst using it.

The face wash contains aloe vera and mint that are great in keeping the skin clear and healthy.

PROS:

• Good consistency.

• Mild scent.

• Lathers nicely.

• Makes skin soft, smooth and clean.

• Removes dirt and oil off the skin.

• Does not dry out the skin.

• Suits all skin types.

• Reasonably priced.

CONS:

• Does not do deep cleansing.

Overall Thoughts:

Patanjali Aloe Vera Mint Face Wash is a good everyday face wash to keep your skin soft, smooth and clean. It does its job of cleansing well without drying out the skin. It worked nicely on my oily, acne prone skin. I would definitely recommend it you if you are looking for a nice and mild face wash.

• If you have dry skin follow it up with a good moisturizer.

• If you are wearing makeup, make sure you remove the makeup first with a makeup remover and then follow it up with this face wash.

• If you have extremely oily skin then you might not like it as it does not do deep cleansing. You would love Patanjali Charcoal Face Wash.

Maybelline Color Show Bright Sparks Nail Polish comes in a sturdy and clear glass bottle with a black screw top lid. The brush applicator is of fairly good size with good quality bristles. It makes application of the polish quite easy without brushing along the skin. 

Spark of Steel is a gorgeous grey-ish dark blue color with metallic finish. It looks classy and elegant with all my ethnic and western outfits. It makes my hands look bright and delicate. The consistency of the nail lacquer is pretty good. It is neither very thick nor very runny. It applies smoothly over my nails without streaking. It delivers true and vibrant color in two coats. It dries pretty quickly ready to be finished with a top coat. The polish lasts for about a week without chipping (I don’t do household chores though :D!). The color does not dull down even after 6 days which actually impressed me a lot. It is easy to remove and does not stain my nails. This shade would look fabulous on all skin tones. It has beautiful glossy finish just like other top nail polish brands and I am so happy that it is worth R 85 only.

• Great pigmentation.

• Metallic finish.

• Lasts long.

• Does not stain my nails.

• Quick drying.

• Inexpensive.

• All the shades in this range are vibrant and elegant.

Overall Thoughts:

Maybelline Color Show Bright Sparks is a great quality nail polish that delivers awesome results. It comes in 8 shades and Spark of Steel is a gorgeous metallic grey-ish blue shade. I would highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for budget friendly nail polishes!

There is a long strap provided in the bag that allows you to use in case your bag is overloaded. I keep all my essential things in my bag like compact powder, tissues, lipstick, lip gloss, lip balm, Avene Thermal Spring Water Spray (A must have for me!), wallet, mobiles, keys and few other things.
