The Traffic Stoppers Case by Rod Sterling Review
The Traffic Stoppers Case is a suspense and mystery story that revolves around the private detective Tony Donohoo and his way of solving mysteries. Tony had been approached by a middle aged man to find his gorgeous teenage daughter Rhoda Woodleigh who had been missing for the last two weeks. He was being informed by his father that the girl went somewhere getting all dressed up and that the cops have declared that she ran off with her boyfriend. Her parents and friends were assured that she did not run off but had been kidnapped. Tony got in touch with number of detectives and cops and used his wise tactics to solve the mystery with his girlfriend Mindy. He got to know a dozen of girls were missing from New York for the last two years all between the ages 18-20 years. The common thing about all girls was that they all were traffic stoppers- stunningly good looking. This made him think that all the cases are connected to each other in some way or the other. To know the end of the story and where the girls actually went missing I would recommend you to read the book as I do not want to spoil the storyline :).
.
The story is described in 1950’s. There was not a single chapter that was boring. The story has twists and Tony solved the case with real world detective methods. I was happy that the book was not thick and does not contain unnecessary descriptions. I totally loved the character Mindy who was not only gorgeous but smart enough to tackle hard situations. Rob Sterling is a brilliant author and I look forward to reading his other books. The suspense was created each time I turned the page and it was hard to put down the book.
