Today I am going to show you a super pretty bracelet that is unique in its own way and is one of the most attractive bracelets I own. It is worth €1.80/ Rs 135 that is indeed quite cheap and makes me want to buy all other colors.

The bracelet is black threaded style bracelet with multiple links attached to each other in the form of chain. It has nice button type clasp with a small ball that dangles down the circle of the other end of the bracelet. It has various multi color glass beads that are neatly beaded in the threads. The bracelet has shiny finish and looks really chic and funky on hands. It looks very delicate but is quite sturdy and would last really long. The clasp is easy to open and close and I can wear my bracelet myself. The size of the bracelet is perfect for my wrist and does not tend to roll over my wrist.

I really love this bracelet and it looks super pretty on my wrists. The threaded bracelet with glass beads are quite unique and look quirky. I have been wearing it for more than 5 months and it is still in superb condition. You can choose from lots of color and the one I have is shade G. Each time I wear it, I am showered with lots of compliments on how beautiful it is.

Himalaya Herbals Strawberry Shine Lip Balm comes in a sealed plastic blister type pack to ensure that it has not been used or opened. The actual product comes in a white lipstick style packaging with a glossy red pull off lid. The base of the tube needs to be twisted to reveal the lip balm just like you use any lipstick. It can also be twisted back to put the lip balm back in the tube. The lid of the lip balm is quite tight and can be easily carried around without any fear of being opened in the makeup bag. The lip balm is dark red in color and has mild scent of strawberries that is pleasant.

The texture of the lip balm is solid and smooth. It glides smoothly on lips without leaving greasy, heavy or waxy feeling behind. It gets absorbed instantly and makes my lips soft, smooth and nourished. It gives a beautiful red sheen to my lips with absolutely no shimmers that I totally adore. I love using it when I really do not want to do makeup. It instantly brightens up my face and makes me look fresh. If you are fond of tinted lip balms then you might like it. It lasts on my lips for a good 4-5 hours with eating and drinking. It doesn’t taste weird unlike few lip balms. My lips tend to get dry when the weather changes and it really helps in keeping my lips soft and nourished due to the presence of strawberry seed oil and apricot kernel oil. I also love using it as a base for lipsticks with dry texture. The lip balm does not contain artificial colors and is free from preservatives and petroleum.

Himalaya Herbals Strawberry Shine Lip Balm is a herbal tinted lip balm that makes my lips soft, smooth and gives a beautiful red sheen to them. It does not contain color and are absolutely safe for your delicate lips. It has become my favorite lip balm and I am using and carrying it with me almost everywhere. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Mudpot Natural Mud Mask comes packaged in a white plantable box embedded with wildflower seeds. I have recently planted this box in a pot and I am so waiting for it to grow. The actual product comes in a recyclable clear glass jar with a black screw top lid. There is also an inner lid that protects the mask from drying. Though the packaging is slightly heavy but it can be easily carried around in a bag while traveling with no mess.

The face mask is green in color with absolutely no fragrance. I hate face packs with strong scent and no fragrance gives me a signal that it is indeed pure and natural. The texture of the face pack is soft and smooth with creamy consistency. It is a ready to use mask and can be used directly from the jar. It is easy to apply and totally mess free. It spreads easily across my slightly damp skin without tugging. I always make sure to wash my face with a face wash prior face pack to remove all dirt and grime off my face. I apply a thin layer of face pack on my face and neck and then let it sit on my skin for about 10-15 minutes. It does not give a tingling sensation that I really like. It does not harden but tightens the skin after few minutes and I keep spraying Avene Thermal Spring Water to make it moist. It is easy to remove and gets washed off easily with water or washcloth and does not leave any residue behind.

My skin instantly feels soft, smooth, clean and rejuvenated. The face pack gives a healthy glow to my skin with regular usage. It is a deep cleansing mask and purifies the skin effectively. It contains 100% natural mineral rich illite clay that nourishes and soothes the skin and maintains the pH balance. Though it great for all skin types but it is perfect for people with oily, combination and acne prone skin. It does not dry out the skin and I do not feel the immediate urge to moisturize my skin. I have not faced any breakouts since the time I am using it so I would highly recommend it to people with pimple and acne prone skin. The face mask keeps skin clean and refreshed and has no preservatives or additives.

The sunglasses are of round style and would look great on most face shapes. The full rim frames of these sunglasses are gradient brown and look absolutely dashing on women or girls. They feel comfortable and the nose bridge sits nicely on my nose and I do not need to adjust it every now and then. They fit perfectly across my temples and do not tend to slide off. They feel really light and nice to wear even when I am out for a long time. The side arms have Fastrack logo on them and look really chic. The nose pads on either sides of the nose are soft and do not leave any impressions or marks on my nose.

The 100% UV protected lens protects my eyes from harmful sun rays. They cover the whole eye area really well and are dark enough that they do not let harsh light pass through them.

The glasses indeed look fashionable and chic. I have long face and the wide gradient brown lenses look perfect on my fair complexion.

Lakme Insta Light Instant Glow Crème comes in a silver cardboard box packaging with all the information printed over it. The actual product comes in a dark silver, small, squeezable plastic tube with a screw top lid. You can easily carry it around in your bag while traveling without any fear of leakage. The cream is light pink in color with a lovely and pleasant scent. The fragrance is noticeable only when you apply the cream and vanishes away after few minutes.

The cream has soft and smooth texture with creamy consistency. It reminds me of L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Anti Imperfections+Whitening Cream. I simply apply few dots all over my face and neck after cleansing and toning and smooth it gently using my fingertips. It applies smoothly and spreads easily. It gets absorbed quickly and makes my skin appear smooth and matte. You will notice a slight whitish cast on the skin but it settles down to a natural look within few seconds. It contains mineralized powder and sets like a powder giving your skin a matte finish. 

My oily- combination skin feels soft, smooth and matte for a good 8-9 hours. I love using it prior foundation as it keeps my face matte and does not make it greasy (especially T zone!) at the end of the day unlike other creams. As it is very hot here, I particularly need light moisturizer and this crème is perfect in this season. If you have dry skin then this crème is not for you as it is not very hydrating. It provides sun protection due to the presence of sunscreen so I always skip my sunscreen when I step out in the sun. My skin looks fresh, oil free and healthy but I have not noticed instant glow on my skin. I have not faced any adverse effects whilst using it.

• Gives a matte and fresh look to the skin.

• Keeps skin oil free for a long time.

• Great for oily and combination skin.

Overall Thoughts:

Lakme 9to5 Insta Light Instant Glow Crème is a great mattifying cream for people with oily and combination skin. It keeps skin oil free for a long time in this scorchy weather and feels light on the skin. As per the name, I have not noticed any instant glow in my skin. I would definitely recommend it to people with oily and combination skin!

I have always been a huge fan of natural products and Living Nature is one of my favorite brands. Recently they launched new thickening mascara which is fragrance free. Living Nature Thickening Mascara comes in a recyclable cardboard box packaging with all the information written over it. The actual product comes in a sturdy, long black soft rubbery tube with a black screw on lid. As soon as the lid is unscrewed, a long mascara wand is revealed. The wand is a bit long with a fairly good size plastic bristles. The packaging is very light and can be easily carried around in a makeup bag without creating any mess.

The mascara is of gel consistency and thus you don’t need to wipe off the excess on the side of the opening. It is quite easy to apply. The wand applicator is easy to hold and covers all the lashes easily. It is slightly thinner towards the tips and coats the inner and lower lashes easily. The bristles of the brush are circling the whole wand and coat from base to end of the lash making them appear longer. 

Jet Black is a really dark and deep shade that coats my naturally thick lashes thickly and makes them stand out. Though I do not prefer applying second coat but I tried and noticed that it gets slightly clumpy. So I always make sure to apply a single coat when I use this mascara.

Though Living Nature Thickening Mascara is not waterproof but it stays perfectly on my eyes the whole day without smudging and flaking. It is jet black in color and makes my eyes look big and awake. It is easy to remove using olive oil or Lakme Absolute Bi Phased Makeup Remover. It does not cause any adverse effect to my eyes. 

The mascara is natural and contains Halloysite Clay that thickens the lashes. I am so happy that it is fragrance free so if you have really sensitive eyes then this mascara is for you.

• Gives a natural effect to the eyes.

Overall Thoughts:

Living Nature Thickening Mascara is one of the best natural mascaras I have used till date. It thickens the lashes with a single coat and I do not feel the need to apply a second coat. It is great for everyday wear and stays perfectly the whole day without smudging. If you are looking for natural and thickening mascara then I would highly recommend Living Nature Thickening Mascara to you.

I had been using Faces Luxury Loofah Sponge (reviewed HERE) for a very time. It lasted really long and as Faces Store is no longer at my place and it is not available online, I ordered this gorgeous Vega Luxury Flower Body Sponge which is worth Rs 140. If you love using shower gels or body washes then you must use them with body loofahs.

Vega Luxury Flower Body Sponge comes in a sealed plastic packaging with all the information printed at the front. The loofah is a fluffy balled up design with a flower design at the front and the fine mesh material is made from some plastic or fiber which feels soft and light to the touch. There is a small white loop that allows you to hang the loofah onto the bath tap to dry. It comes in various colors like pink, purple and orange. I was not given the option to choose the color online and luckily I got the pink one. 

The texture of the body loofah is soft and gentle and does not feel scratchy on the skin. To use the loofah, simply wet it and pour shower gel or body wash over it, lather it using your hands and rub it onto your skin. My shower gels really last long as I need a small amount with each usage. The loofah transforms my shower gels or body washes into a plentiful lather that makes the bathing experience all the more enjoyable. It will definitely make your shower gels or body washes last long. It feels soft and nice on the skin. It gently exfoliates my skin and I love rubbing it on my elbows, knees and other dry areas. I still did not get the idea of using the flower design. It is pretty useless and does nothing special to my skin. After using the loofah, my skin feels extremely clean and exfoliated. I have not faced any adverse effects whilst using it. 

Cleaning the loofah is very easy. Simply place it under a running shower, gently squeeze and hang it to dry on shower or tap. I have been using it for a long time and I have not noticed any netting folds falling apart which is really an added bonus. 

PROS:

• Pretty color.

• Feels soft and gentle on the skin.

• Creates plentiful lather.

• Shower gels and body washes last really long when used with loofah.

• Gently exfoliates the skin.

• Easy to use.

• Makes skin clean, smooth and fresh.

• The flower design is pretty useless.

Overall Thoughts:

Vega Luxury Flower Body Sponge is a soft and gentle body loofah that exfoliates the skin nicely and makes it soft, smooth and clean. The body washes and showers last long as a small amount is needed each time. It lasts really long and the mesh fold does not tend to fall apart. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

My Blog Makeover

My Blog Makeover

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you may have noticed my new blog design. I had been planning for a new blog design for a long time but none of the templates caught my attention. I love simple yet classy designs and I was instantly impressed by the blogger templates* from Shiny Magic. 

I know little about technology and coding and was actually scared to change the template all by myself but the lovely Lynsey was kind enough to send me all step by step tutorials in a zip folder. Shiny Magic offers lots of beautiful premade blogger templates and I chose ‘Miss Emily’ premade blogger template which is priced at $7. I was really impressed by the price they offer. I was given a zip file with all the installation instructions, template file, header and social media icons included in it. It is very easy to install the template. I could not believe I revamped my blog in just 20 minutes with no hassle. If you are worried about using the premade template as many other bloggers would have purchased the same then you could always change its font and color to give your blog a more unique touch. 

Shiny Magic not only offers blogger templates but gorgeous Wordpress Themes and other add-ons as well. I totally love my new blog design and I got so many emails of my readers on how beautiful my blog looks. Thank you so much Shiny Magic. 

My only grumble with Shiny Magic is that they have mentioned that the template is mobile responsive but it is not. I have mailed them lots of times but alas got no response though I got instant replies to my various other queries. Currently I have changed it to the default mobile template but I so want my mobile template to look as beautiful as the desktop blogger template. I hope they will respond to my query soon (Shall update you if anything happens!).

All in all I have really good experience with Shiny Magic and I totally love my new blog makeover. Their blogger template and Wordpress themes are super pretty and easy to install and manage. I would happily recommend Shiny Magic to everyone who wants to revamp their blog without getting into technical chaos.

The actual product comes in a sleek black plastic case with a clear flip top lid. There is also a black double sided sponge applicator which is quite decent and would be great while traveling. There is unfortunately no integrated mirror in the packaging and I do need to carry my own compact mirror with me while traveling.

The palette includes all shimmery shades that contain very fine shimmers and do not look over the top. The eyeshadows are nicely set with three similar shades vertically and three similar shades horizontally in four different rows.

First row of palette contains different shades of shimmery purple and mauve. The light colors apply sheer but the dark colors are nicely pigmented and can be layered upon to get more dramatic look. Purple color is in these days and I am using it a lot.

The second row contains different shades of pink and a separate orange and highlighter color. All the shades in this row are pretty subtle and look amazing at day time.

The third row contains different shades of copper, gold, brown in vertical slot and yellow and blue color in horizontal slot. The copper and gold shades are super gorgeous and highly pigmented and look gorgeous with my ethnic outfits.

The last row contains different shades of blue and bluish green in vertical slot and white, grey and black in horizontal slots for smokey looks. All the shades are medium pigmented and can be layered easily to create a bright and glamorous look.

The palette consists of a lovely mix of all gorgeous and wearable colors. The texture of the eye shadow is soft and smooth. Although the eye shadow is in powder form, it does not tend to fall out or create a mess in the palette while application. Application of the eye shadow is super easy. I love how it spreads easily all over my lids with absolutely no fall out. I simply sweep my eye shadow brush over the desired color and apply it over my eye lids. The eye shadow does not tend to fall over my cheeks unlike few other powdery eye shadows. It provides an even coverage without giving patchy look but I always make sure to apply it over primer. The pigmentation is medium to build-able. With the darkest shade, I get the actual color with two layers but with the lighter shades I do need several applications to build up the color. With the primer underneath, I get true and vibrant shades with just few applications. Girls, do invest in a good primer. It really does make a difference in both pigmentation and longevity.

The staying power is pretty amazing when used with a primer. The eye shadows stay on my slightly oily lids for around 5-6 hours without fading or creasing. It is easy to remove with olive oil or a good makeup remover.
